Season three of Byron Balasco’s critically acclaimed series KINGDOM is filled with relatable incidences - the battle for recognition, the exhilaration of victory, the humiliation of defeat and the memories of dreams shattered until a single moment introduces the possibility of a better or, at least different, future. Despite the hard punches inside the cage, the Navy St. MMA family never lose sight of their humanity, the strength of family bonds and battling demons in and out of the cage.
The Kingdom cast is led by Frank Grillo ("Captain America", "The Purge") as Alvey Kulina, a Mixed Martial Arts legend and owner of Venice, CA-based Navy St. MMA gym. Kiele Sanchez ("The Purge", "Lost") returns as Lisa Prince, Alvey's former girlfriend and manager of the gym and their fighters. Matt Lauria ("Friday Night Lights") plays Ryan Wheeler, a champion with a violent past. Jonathan Tucker ("Justified", "Parenthood") is Jay Kulina, Alvey’s older son and a force both in and out of the cage. Nick Jonas returns as Nate Kulina, Alvey’s younger son and a once-promising fighter determined to work his way back to the top of the sport. Joanna Going ("House of Cards," "Mad Men") plays Christina Kulina, Alvey’s estranged wife and mother to Jay and Nate. Academy Award-nominated Talia Shire joins the cast as Annette Kulina, Alvey’s mother and grandmother to Jay and Nate. Kirk Acevedo joins season three in a recurring role as Dom Ramos, a former fighter and new coach at Navy St. MMA.
